IndieMuse is a site that focuses on independently published literature. I was contracted to design and develop the site for a staff of 11 curators and dozens of reviewers with the mission to highlight the best indie authors and publishers working today.
I got this contract largely based on my work with the now defunct Horror Mall website I developed, as the head curator was a huge fan and customer of the website.
The complexities of this site was how to bring in feeds from all major author and publisher sites in the independent publishing scene so that the curation staff could browse new releases. I also coded an Amazon feed which auto-imports titles and links to their affiliation.
This was fun to revisit my days as a publisher, which also helped me to develop a publishing focused marketing site. During which time I caught up with some of my past authors I had published with Delirium Books and DarkFuse and caught up with several of their careers.

Website was sold to a competitor in early 2022 and shut down. I declined to take on the contract for the relaunch due to other project commitments, but was paid to reestablish the site on a staging and development site for new owners.
To this date, I’m not aware of it coming back online, which is a shame, as many hours went into the front and back ends of this site, and it was a fun project to work on.
