Infested

Overview

Residents of a rundown French apartment building battle against an army of deadly, rapidly reproducing spiders.

Review

Well that escalated quickly! If you can suspend disbelief in the rapid spread and growth rate of these predatory arthropods, you’re in for a real nightmare of a film. Have a case of arachnophobia? Even better! The visuals and cinematography in this film are great. No rubber spiders here. The cast is top-notch, creating a very believable social community in the rundown French apartments.

Infested, a French language film, might as well have been sponsored by Nike, as the product placement in this movie is abundant. Next time you pull out those shiny pair of Nikes, just make sure you check inside. Just in case they come with an eight-legged passenger nesting in the insoles. Now for some product placement in this review…

I’d like to salute the poor cleaning lady in the apartments. Someone get her a Webster Cobweb Duster with a grinder attachment. Her double barrel EcoSMART Spider Blaster spray needed a backup.

Infested is definitely worth checking out if you haven’t seen a good spider movie lately. Or as a surprise viewing for that special someone in your life who is scared shitless of spiders.
