Review

Sleep, A South Korean horror movie, was a highly anticipated entry on my 2024 watch list. Turned out, after watching, that it was good movie, but nothing great. The horror is rather subdued. The ghost interjection in sleep disorders was a nice tangent. Even though there was a lot of stress and anticipation on what was to happen, I found myself not caring that much about the characters. The leads were not fleshed out enough to inspire empathy.

It was worth a one-time watch, but also there are two dog killings which seemed redundant and may piss off some viewers. While the first tied into furthering the plot, the second just seemed excessive, pointless and hard to believe.

Rating: ★★★ (out of 5)
