Sick (2022) ★★★★

Great slasher shot within a time capsule of the COVID-19 epidemic. Great pacing, acting, writing with characters you truly care about. I really enjoyed this movie thoroughly.

The villain-twist was excellent when it all came together and you understood why. Ties well with staples of the epidemic besides death: the fear, isolation, ignorance, paranoia and blame.

Among the best films I watched in 2023.
