Overview
We do not go to hell—Hell comes to us.
A young Vienna-based taxi driver of Turkish origin witnesses an extremely brutal murder. The perpetrator, a serial killer, makes eye contact with her; a deadly game of cat-and-mouse ensues.
Review
Cold Hell served up as a German mainstream thriller courtesy of Shudder. While the movie seems very Hollywood wannabe, it’s slightly a mess on theme and execution. Horror fans will most likely yawn at the lack of genre incorporation—a ritual serial killer who likes to skin women is all that really even comes close to anything relative. On the other hand, thriller and action fans might rejoice as there are some nicely polished car and chase scenes.
Overall, it just didn’t do much to impress me as a fan of horror.
