Review

The Well was a really strange mix. I lingered between being impressed and infuriated throughout. This movie has moments that are extremely creepy. Then the wheels fall off as it tries to be something epic in its storytelling which it most definitely is not. Most of what’s great about this movie is the simple horror it creates. The gore is intensely spot-on for many scenes. But, by the end, The Well loses its identity for good and spins off into an almost soap-opera tangent.

But, damn, there are moments in this film that tease of a top-tier extreme horror production. If only it would have simplified its storyline into a more believable ending.
