WELCOME TO YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE
Three backpackers head to a Slovakian city that promises to meet their hedonistic expectations, with no idea of the hell that awaits them.
Review
Checking another one off of my most disturbing watch list, where I put to test the films that have been ranked by others as most extreme. Hostel took a while to get going, but once it did, it caught up.

The entire premise of people paying money for the experience to slaughter another human was a twist. Here I thought it was one individual. Turned out to be a turnstile of rich assholes all lined up with a paid ticket to torture, maim and kill humans. And top ticket to snuff an American. Classic!
My big disappointment with this movie is the way it ends. It felt like it was written for redemption and it just came across as unbelievable. How all who are in on luring them to the Hostel (including the dude with the lip mole) get lined up neatly to exact revenge upon. It was just too big of a stretch.
Hands down, my favorite part of this movie was the introduction of Rick Hoffman as The American Client. “Fuck this, too fucking American, I’m going fucking old school…!!!” Quite possibly one of my favorite scenes in any horror movie due the shift change and Hoffman’s jacked up performance. “Who wants this, motherfucker, who wants this shit?!” An extra half-star for this scene alone.
Unfortunately, the rest of the film was a little sparse. Plot holes and too neat of an ending.
