Wow, brought back memories to one of my favorite films of all times: Man On Fire with a much younger Dakota Fanning as Denzel Washington’s sidekick. While this film is not nearly as good, it’s quite a nice, violent stab at possibly ending the series.
Heart and violence is quite a combination in filmmaking and this does both very well. You care for the characters / seaside town. The fate angle is quite chilling as well: “We all end up where we’re supposed to be.”
If it ends here, this makes for a really good trilogy overall.
